Planning Your Pontiac Wedding
Pontiac is a popular wedding destination in northern Metro Detroit, and for good reason. Pontiac is conveniently located in Oakland County, and just a short drive from Auburn Hills, Rochester Hills, Clarkston, and Bloomfield Hills.
Pontiac weddings are special because the city is filled with history. The city was known for its General Motors manufacturing plants in the 20th century, which was the cornerstone of the economy. After the Great Depression of the 1930s, Pontiac devised a plan of urban renewal to revitalize the downtown area. This included several office buildings, high rise residential complexes, and retail businesses – many of which you’ll still see today.
Today, Pontiac is known for its urban personality. When you get married in Pontiac, there is no shortage of photography and videography opportunities with the dozens of murals in the area. The team here at Mike Staff Productions has had the opportunity to work with thousands of couples on their Pontiac Michigan wedding. Historic venues, modern city streets, Pontiac really has it all.
