Our Love Story

I was accepted into a week-long teacher professional development at Columbia University Teachers College in New York City. I dragged my boyfriend along for the first part of the trip. We made a fun weekend out of it. We were exploring Central Park in NYC. We found the perfect rock to hang out on and relax. Until, this crazy tour guide came and kicked us off the rock! Apparently the one rock we picked out of miles of park was so special that it’s part of a tour. It’s the rock in the movie Enchanted- where the couple gets together in Central Park. We were asked to get off the rock so his tourists could take photos on it as well. We complied. Frank took me around Central Park for what seemed like forever, trying to find the next perfect rock. We eventually found our way back to “our” Enchanted rock. Frank was acting a bit strange; he was rummaging through his backpack for a minute and said, “Can I ask you a question?” I hopped off the rock and said, “yeah babe, what’s up?!” I was thinking we were going to talk about our dinner plans because by this time I was starving! Instead he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him! I said yes!!! I remember being so incredibly happy. The guys in a canoe in the water were screaming and celebrating with us. It was a fairytale engagement. It was everything I wanted and more!

Our Wedding DJ

Literally every song our amazing wedding DJ played had people on the dance floor. It was the best party of my life. Everyone was on the dance floor. The smiles were endless. The dance moves were out of this world. The love in the room was contagious.

Millionaire by Chris Stapleton was our first dance song. It became “our” song as soon as we heard the lyrics. We both feel beyond lucky, just like millionaires!

Our Wedding Photography

We knew we wanted to invest in a great photography company. When meeting with Manda Lawson at The Inn at St. John’s we saw the most beautifully captured photo of a couple on their wedding day. Mike Staff Productions was the logo in the corner. I did my research and we decided it was worth every penny. I LOVED working with Mark, our photographer. He truly understood my vision and ran with it. I have never been happier with more photos in my life. We had a fun time taking all of the photos, as well!

Our Wedding Video

We knew we wanted to invest in a great videography company. Having a wedding video to look back on was extremely important to us. We wanted to be able to truly experience the day/night over and over again. We love everything about our wedding video!! Our Mike Staff Productions Videographer, Rocky, captured every moment and it was put together in the most perfect way. The trailer was amazing! Usually makes someone cry.

Our Favorite Wedding Memories

So many people gave us amazing advice. The best advice we heard was to take a minute to truly take it all in. Appreciate all of the people that came together to celebrate us. Our reception was in the Grand Ballroom. We escaped upstairs and onto the balcony overlooking the entire reception. It was magical. All of my hard work, planning and love paid off!
