Our Real Wedding: May 18, 2019
“Our experience with Mike Staff Productions was great. It is so easy working with one company on all the services, and nice to have assurance that if our chosen individuals were unavailable due to last minute emergency, we would still be covered. We love how prompt the videos came out and cannot wait to see all our pictures on our one-month anniversary!”
Happy Bride, Maggie
Our Love Story
Luke and I had been together for three and a half years, and I had just graduated college. We decided to take what I thought was a celebratory trip to NYC, but Luke had other intentions.
Our first afternoon there we were walking through Central Park, one of my favorite places. While crossing the Gothic Bridge, Luke asked me to stop to take a picture. There was a great view of the skyline in the distance so he told me to turn around for the picture so it looked like I was looking at the skyline. When I turned back around he was down on one knee with the most beautiful ring.
He hired a photographer who captured the proposal and walked with us through Central Park and to the Met after capturing our newly engaged excitement. We celebrated that night with an incredible dinner at Tavern on the Green back in Central Park. It was a perfect day.
Our Wedding DJ
The dance floor filled right away when “Come on Eileen” came on, by request! Our wedding DJ played a great variety of music and listened to all our specific requests. The overall vibe was exactly what we wanted.
We chose Josh Groban’s “Won’t Look Back” because it felt like the perfect song. The lyrics are like vows and the flow of the music was beautiful for our choreographed dance.
Our Wedding Video
We want to be able to relive our wedding day forever, so a professional wedding videographer was a must. The short version is perfect to share with friends and family, and the full-length preserves our whole ceremony, the speeches, and our first dance. We plan to watch it on our anniversary every year.
Our Wedding Photos
Our wedding photographer Jenny was great. She helped achieve the specific vision I had for a few pictures and captured us while we enjoyed the day instead of too many staged pictures.
Our Favorite Wedding Memories
We loved doing our pictures in Greenfield Village before the ceremony. Luke and I cruised around in a Model T waving at visitors to the village and stopping at a few locations to take pictures. The footage is so beautiful. Another moment we loved (and recommend!) is during the reception, we took a few moments to go back to the spot where our ceremony took place. We had a moment with just the two of us to take in our wedding day which was so special.
