Our Real Detroit Wedding: September 7, 2019
“A-mazing. Seriously could have not asked for a better wedding videographer. Tyler was the best and he did a beautiful job editing the videos as well! He was so nice, professional and funny! So glad he was there on our special day. He was all over the place capturing things that I would never think about shooting. I cannot thank him enough for the beautiful job he did. I actually have recommended you guys to some friends and they are using Mike Staff next June! Thank you again for everything!”
Happy Bride, Sarah
Our Love Story
I, Sarah, worked at Emerald City Designs (a wedding and special event company) a few years ago as a stationary manager & graphic designer. Little did I know that I would be writing out my husband’s name as Best Man in a wedding program of a lovely couple I only knew via email. One year later while swiping right on Bumble, I met Zach in person at M-Brew in Ferndale. From there our relationship grew with similar interests and became a full circle as he proposed to me on the steps of M-Brew on November 10th (we found out about a month into our relationship that I had actually created his best friend’s wedding stationary and wrote out his name in the wedding program). After spending about an hour in shock and excitement at M-Brew, we headed to our favorite local pub in Berkley, Patrick J’s, to “go pick up Zach’s credit card because he forgot it there the night before.” But lo and behold, he didn’t forget his card and he surprised me with an engagement party with our family and friends. It was a perfect day.
Our Wedding Vision
We were looking for more of a bohemian, vintage/rustic vibe. We knew we were going to have it at my parent’s barn (Sarah’s parents). Six years ago, my parents had built the barn for my younger sister’s wedding. Since then, we have had family events and family friends have gotten married there. Now it was our turn. It was a labor of love and was so special to have it in a place that meant more to us than any other venue.
Our Wedding Videography
Reliving the day again. Everything happened so quickly, like everyone said it would, that we wanted to have a wedding video to capture the moments that we may have missed. To see the emotion, love and support from our family and friends being there was so beautiful to see.
Our Wedding Memories
Oh boy. There were so many beautiful moments. I think having both of our families and friends together in one spot to celebrate this next adventure in life was so amazing. And of course marrying my best friend was alright 🙂
