Our Love Story

On December 9th, 2018 I came home from work to find an entire vase of beautiful flowers and Andrew in a suit. He was taking me out to celebrate our six year anniversary. I got ready and he took me to Downtown Rochester and recreated our first date. After dinner, dessert, and a bottle of wine he drove me to my parents house. When I got out of the car he asked me what time it was. It was snowing outside and I was in a dress. So I looked at him like he was crazy and said “I don’t know. Hurry up and let’s go inside!” He laughed and said to me “I think this is about the time I asked you to be my girlfriend; so I guess this is about the time I should ask you to be my wife! Tessa Valentic will you marry me?” By this time I had forgotten how cold it was around me because I was so overwhelmed with happiness. Although there were tears frozen to my cheeks…all I could think about was how I was the luckiest woman in the world because the little boy who stole my doll in preschool, now my boyfriend and best friend in the whole world was going to be my husband!

Our Wedding Vision

When we started planning our wedding we envisioned a big fancy party. We were going to have our ceremony in a church in Grosse Pointe and our reception at a big extravagant hall. To say our guest list was large was quite the understatement.

In March of this year the reality that we might have to cancel our wedding became all too real. Thanks to covid we lost our church and hall. However we did not give up hope. We waited it out until July. That’s when we decided that we were going to try to find an outdoor venue. So within two months we re-planned our entire wedding. To say it was stressful does not come close to covering it.

Our Wedding Photography

Looking through photos is one of my favorite things to do. I love being able to relive the feelings of a moment. That’s why professional quality wedding photos were so important to us. Our photographers could not have done a better job at capturing each and every moment. Immediately upon seeing our photos I was overwhelmed with emotion. We will cherish these photos for the rest of our lives.

Our Wedding Videography

Having a professional wedding video was important to us so that we can share our love story for years to come with our family, our kids, and maybe one day even our grandkids. The thing we loved the most about our video was how it truly captured the happiness each and every person experienced that day.

Unfortunately because of covid there were so many people who were unable to be with us. Having our photos and video allows all of those people to share in our day. It means so much to be able to see our family and friends reactions to getting to share in our love story.

Our Wedding Memories

The entire wedding. We did not think we were going to be able to have a wedding. And it turned out better than we could have ever imagined. It was truly a fairytale from the white linen draped pavilion, to the twinkle lights, to the sun setting over the trees. We had perfect weather. And we were able to be surrounded by our family who showed us more love and support than words can describe.
