Megan and Matthew’s Wedding

Our Real Wedding: November 21, 2020

“5 Star Rating! We can’t wait for our reception in April and will definitely be booking more photography sessions for things later in life like babies, family photos, etc.” – Happy Bride, Megan

Our Love Story

They met a few years ago in Laura, OH at Megan’s Grandfather’s funeral. They talked for a bit, and both knew something was there, but the timing wasn’t right. They both knew that somehow, someway their paths would cross again. A few years later, Matthew reached out after hearing from a friend Megan was back on the market. Matthew was in Ohio and Megan was in Michigan, but they both had a desire to see where the future would take them.

Matthew and Megan talked for a few weeks and Facetimed every day before their first date in Tipp City, OH. At their first date, it was love at first sight. What was supposed to be a breakfast date, turned into a few hours of chatting and walking downtown.

At the end of the first date, Matthew asked Megan to be his girlfriend. For almost a year, they did a long-distance relationship before Matthew decided to make the move to Michigan. Their love grew stronger every day, and they knew they were made for each other.

A little after a year of dating, on December 12, 2019 Matthew proposed to Megan in downtown Detroit. They walked around Campus Martius with hot chocolate, where Matthew got down on one knee by the Christmas tree and asked Megan to marry him. As they both had tears in their eyes, she said yes!

How COVID Impacted Our Wedding

We had to move our reception to April 25, 2021 due to COVID. We still went ahead with the wedding ceremony and it was beautiful and exactly what we had imagined our day being.

Our Wedding Photography

She was AMAZING!!! Our professional wedding photos were one of the most important things to us in planning a wedding, and we were so in love with our results. We love having pictures around our house and in albums, so we are happy we trusted Mike Staff with this job.
