Our Real Wedding: March 6, 2021
“We would definitely recommend Mike Staff! It was so nice to have the DJ, Photographer, Videographer and Uplighting all with one company. It made it easier that they all knew each other and have worked together before. They did a great job!” – Happy Bride, Jenny
Our Love Story
Rex wanted nothing other than for his proposal to be a surprise to me as well as meaningful. I can definitely say it was nothing less than that! My brother in law was opening a restaurant in Partridge Creek Mall, a few days before the proposal, my sister, called and asked if we wanted to go to dinner with them since she would be out there helping him with the restaurant. The night of our proposal, we had my step daughter which was going to hang out with his aunt while we went to dinner.
When we pulled up to the mall, my sister said they were running a little behind with everything so they were just going to meet us there. Rex said if were going to wait we might as well go to the apple store and look at a few things to waste some time. As we walked up, there was an area full of lights with a fireplace in the background. To my surprise, his daughter was standing there with a handmade sign that wrote, “Will you be my step mom?” (She worked on this all day and put so much detail into it with different decorations of all three of our favorite things). All around her were rose petals on the ground. After walking up to her, she handed me a gift. The gift was matching necklaces that Rex had her pick out, for her and I so that we would always have them in remembrance of this day. There was also a charm from him for my pandora bracelet that said, “My Beautiful Wife”. He then got on one knee and proposed. As if I wasn’t surprised enough, they both told me to turn around. Standing there were my parents, our sisters and brother in law’s and my best friends.
Needless to say, there wasn’t a dry eye! We then went to my brother in laws restaurant for a champagne toast then headed to Brio for our celebratory dinner with everyone! He did such a good job, it was the most amazing night ever!
Our Wedding Vision
We started planning for our wedding right away! Little did we know, two months later the world would be hit with Covid. However, our wedding turned out to be everything we imagined. Our ceremony was at The White House Wedding Chapel and the reception was at Palazzo Grande.
Our wedding was planned for January 16, 2021. At that time, all restaurants were shut down. We rescheduled it for March 6, 2021. Thankfully, everything lined up except we needed to pick a new photographer, which ended up working out great!
Our Wedding Moments
It’s so hard to pick a favorite moment from our wedding day because it was everything we imagined and more! The ceremony was so beautiful as well as the reception and everyone had such a good time! Our close friends and family were all able to make it which was amazing because it’s such a time of uncertainty right now.
Our Wedding Photography
Pictures are so important to me, so with our wedding pictures, I wanted to make sure we had someone that was credible and experienced. We started with one photographer for our engagement photos that was amazing! They all turned out perfect and he was a blast to work with. However, since we had to change our wedding date, he wasn’t available so we needed to choose a new one. The wedding photographer we ended up getting, Dennis, did such a good job! He was so personable and had the whole wedding party laughing constantly! He honestly made our day go so smooth. Even the day after the wedding people were calling us and telling us what a good job he did and asked where we found him. Great job Dennis!
Our Wedding Videography
Pictures help to remember the day but nothing like a professional wedding video does! The day goes by so quick with so many emotions felt that you can’t remember every part of the day or speech or dance etc. I love the fact that we have a long video that shows all the major events at the wedding as well as a short highlight video that we can show others that weren’t able to attend. It’s nice as well because we can watch this for years to come.
We were able to upload our pictures and highlight video to our social media so that the people that weren’t able to attend could somewhat share in our special day.
