Our Love Story
We took a trip to Elk Rapids, MI to spend time in our favorite place. We both grew up spending our summers in Northern Michigan at our grandparents’ homes, so up north Michigan has always had a special place in our hearts. Sean took us to see his Grandpa Chief’s memorial brick next to the white bridge that looks out to Lake Michigan. When I turned around, there was Sean on one knee asking me to be his wife. This was the easiest decision we have ever made.
Everything in life led us to this moment, and we both knew that God had answered our prayers. Sean also had a whole weekend planned for us. It started with the day in Elk Rapids, where Sean’s parents’ cottage is located and where he grew up each summer. We were then off to the Grand Traverse Hotel to have a beautiful dinner during the sunset. We spend the rest of the weekend in Charlevoix, MI where I spent summers as a child. The weekend was truly perfect. Sean even brought our perfect dog Callie to celebrate with us. And this was just the beginning.
Our Wedding Vision
We wanted a beautiful catholic ceremony with a reception that was unique and located close to the church. The Inn at St. John’s was the perfect match for us once we put our vision together. We also wanted a day that was fun for everyone! We can truly say we had the perfect day. We were surrounded by so much love, our ceremony and reception was beyond perfect and I can honestly say I married my best friend!
Wedding Photography Experience
We are so thrilled we chose Greg to be our wedding photographer! He made our fairytale wedding become a reality. Our entire bridal party had so much fun, our timeline was easy to follow, and we felt calm at at ease throughout the day! We had the BEST time taking photos with Greg. We were looking for a wedding photographer in Plymouth, MI who knew the venue and the area well. Two weeks after the wedding, we were THRILLED with the sneak peak photos we received. We were beyond impressed with Greg’s work!
It has been so important for us to be able to share these professional wedding photos and videos with our loved ones who could not attend the wedding. We have had so many family members and friends love our sneak peak photos and mini video. It was great that they could be part of our day even when they were not able to attend!
Wedding DJ Experience
Our wedding DJ, Kevin, was great! He made sure to play the crowd favorites and keep the dance floor going all night. Kevin also made sure the timeline of the night ran smoothly. We loved having Kevin as our DJ!
For our first dance song, we chose, “Growing Old With You” by Restless Road. We chose this song because we thought the lyrics perfectly captured our story. We both agreed that meeting each other was a true blessing from God and we cannot wait to continue our love story as husband and wife.
Wedding Videography Experience
We wanted a video of our wedding so that we could capture all of the special moments and to have memories of the people we love who came to celebrate our special day! We love our mini wedding video and feel it perfectly captures each moment of our day. We can feel the love, laughter and fun everyone is having in the video. We are so pleased with all of the memories we get to keep forever because of these videos.
Our Favorite Wedding Moments
Our first look was our favorite moment! We loved everything about it! The snow was lightly falling, and it was absolutely breathtaking. Getting to see the look on my husband’s face when he saw me for the first time was something I will remember forever.
We also loved walking into our reception before everyone else entered the room. It was amazing just to take it all in together before the night began.
